Avocado Milkshake

     Have you ever seen avocado at the market however do not know what to do with them?
     In fact, avocado is good for our health as it rich in monounsaturated fat which can replace saturated fat in diet and lower cholesterol level. Besides, avocado has high nutritional value and has anti-oxidant and anti-aging effects. In addition, it helps in keep the digestive system functioning properly and prevent constipation due to its rich fiber content (Comerford et.al 2016).
     Therefore, in recent years, we can see that avocado become a popular choice for a dairy-free product especially milkshake or salad. 
     Today, I'm going to show you how to homemade AVOCADO MILKSHAKE yourself with a fairly simple recipe.

     This milkshake tastes creamy, fragrant, mouth-watering and healthy. 

Estimated Preparation times: 7-8 minutes
Serving: 1 serve

INGREDIENTS:
  • 1 ripe avocado
  • 1/3 cup Plain Yogurt / Greek Yogurt
  • 1/2 to 1 cup of Low Fat Fresh Milk
  • 2 tablespoon of Honey (optional)
INSTRUCTIONS:
  1. Cut the avocado all around, twist and open it and then remove the seed.
  2. Spoon out the flesh and put it into the blender.
  3. Add 2 spoons of honey into avocado.* you can adjust the sweetness according to your preferences.
  4. Add in yogurt, milk.
    *The more the milk used, the thinner the smoothie will get.
  5. Blend the ingredients for 30 seconds to 1 minutes until creamy and smooth.
  6. A healthy and also simple avocado milkshake is ready.
Avocado milkshakes that sold outside are expensive, but in fact it's super easy to make it at home. As long as there is a blender, making a cup of nutritious breakfast drink is just a matter of minutes.

Important reminder:
Avocado should be eaten as soon as possible after the flesh is cut because it is easily oxidized.
